Total Stress Relief---Go Have Time For Yourself

I started my day early by preparing pancakes for breakfast. But I can't say it's all well, because I'm very stressed and tired from sorting and packing our stuff. Not to mention that I also take my son to and from school everyday. Plus, my husband has his own batch of tasks to finish too.

My mom visited us this afternoon, that made things lighter. It's something to break the ice. And good thing, I have a Red Ribbon event that helped end my day differently.

Total stress relief--- with Peachy, Iris and Mommy Vivian
A little treat from the Red Ribbon Management (something yummy will soon be unveiled).

When I got home, my dad helped me load some things in the car, which lessened our baggage and clutter a bit. Slowly, everything is falling into place. I think now is the perfect time to take a break. I think I've done enough not only for today, but for the past 2 weeks.

My son is sleeping, it's just me, my cold bottle of beer, my home- cooked tuna pasta and my blogs to think about.
On Saturday, life moving out continues and it will go on until we completely transfer to our new place early next week. I will be offline for quite sometime, starting next week because I will be switching to a new broadband company. By the way, we were able to find a house in one of the most exclusive subdivisions here in Quezon City, so yehey! God is great!

Streaks Of Silver and Blue

Early today, my husband played a bit with my camera.

Streaks of Silver and Blue from our unfinished Christmas Tree.

I wasn't really in the mood because I don't look presentable and had to pick up my son from school. But it was cool. I like it.

Actually I tried some shots of my own after. I like the candy cane effect. By the way, we have an unfinished tree because we're still drying out twigs we picked from a tree over the weekend. The twigs will be spray painted with silver and will be covered with silver glitters too. We're making our own Christmas decors.

Red and Chic For 199

I just recently received a white Liz Claiborne purse from my aunt in NJ. I imagined that it would be cooler to have it in Red. I found one today. But not Liz Claiborne and a lot cheaper.
I don't really care much if the bag is cheap or what. As long as I am able to use it properly, the question on how long will it survive is out. Of course, a bag this simple should be loaded lightly. It's fashion for me. I can carry this around shopping, strolling and I can use this on a date with my husband. I have been attracted to red accessories eversince, red is just so attractive. Well, here I go again with my nothingness. Have a nice day!

My Hair Got Axed!

First of all, I'm not really afraid to try any hairstyle. As a matter of fact I think I already tried almost everything. Not to the point of shaving my head.
From super short hair...
To having some bangs...
Over-all, my hair is happy if its long. It's easier to manage in a sense that you can do anything with it. Tie it back, tuck it behind your ears, it also looks good with some bangs, and most of all, women always look best with long hair flowing around their shoulders.

In 2007, I decided to cut my hair short. But my husband didn't really like it. He's used to seeing me with long hair. As requested, I grew my hair back since 2008 up to the present. My last visit to the salon (before today) was last December. I am determined to grow my hair right below the armpit area. I had plans of having it permed by the time it reaches that length.

Today, I went to David's Salon to have an inch taken off and to get my bangs back. To my disappointment, the hairstylist wasn't paying attention to what I am instructing him. He trimmed my hair shorter. Worst of all, he gave me layers. I hate layers for my hair. Its hard to manage. I thought he knew what I was telling him, he kept on answering yes, ok, yes. By the way, he is not my real stylist, that's why... My mom's stylist is also mine. But I can't find time to go all the way to my hometown just to have my hair trimmed.

The result was ok. Its something different, something new. Its way better than having a shorter hair (as seen above). But I had goals and plans. I have been growing my hair for 1 1/2 years now. Half of it got axed even before reaching the desired length. That's the disappointing part. I had to email this picture right away to my husband just to know his opinion. As long as he is happy with how I look. Everything is fine with me.

Food Blog Now Accepting Ads

Why is that so, if you might ask. Due with this site's PR gone down. I wasn't able to meet my purpose. I decided to post ads because I want to earn extra for myself. I was planning to use my ad money for personal purchases online, without using a credit card.
The expenses I enjoyed was turning My Multiply to Premium, and the first Photobook I made. With my food blog getting a PR of 2, I decided to take advantage of it.
I have this thingy hanging on my list. And it has always been there ( I couldn't make a move to buy it, because I lost ads during the 1st quarter this year. In other words, I failed to meet my expectations. I didn't know that site rankings come and go.
Part of that, I learned a lot of things. I learned to keep track of my blog and became responsible to update it once in a while. I also learned to expand my concepts and approach on making blogs.
I will continue to achieve this goal (buy that thingy of mine, without hurting the family's savings).
It is cheaper to get it online even if you include the shipping fee. Wish me luck.
My food blog will always be the same whether I get ads or not. I also enjoy making ads and share my opinion about their products and stuff. Sometimes, the featured ad is exactly what I need, but I couldn't have it. If not, it ends up as an essential for me.
So either way, I enjoy both scenarios.

I Have A Life---edited

I saw a friend a few weeks ago. Of course that person mentioned how entertaining my site is. I was expecting a good conversation with that person since we didn't see each other for the longest. I got disappointed with the joke that person told me.

This is the second incident that somebody tried to interfere or let's say disturb the things I do. For this matter, if you don't like what I am doing, then don't read my blogs. Who asked you anyway.
It's the manner how the joke was said. This, I'll take it as a warning (for me). Meaning I am not very fond of somebody joking with what is basically keeping me happy and light. So I'll try avoiding these kind of situations. To be fair with the other party too. If I offended anybody, I'm so sorry but this is how it goes. I am taking blogging literally as an online diary/journal.

I never question or joke around somebody else's interest. I greatly respect anything good that makes a person happy and fulfilled.
On the question on why it seems like I'm in front of the computer all the time...

It's Time Management. That's how I run my life and my family's. Hey, I'm a housefwife. What do you expect me to do on my "free time".
I'll be honest. There were times when I wasn't able to get things done the right way. Personal things. But eventually, I was able to set them according to what was needed to be prioritized. From being A Mother, A Wife and A Parent, not to forget as A Housekeeper. My world goes around within these 4 roles. Self will just pop-up when I think it is essential.
And this is the beauty of blogging. Right here at this very entry. I am sharing my thoughts, my emotions, my life. And it doesn't have to be specific. A simple human being will truly understand what I mean.
It doesn't have to take a person to become a blogger to appreciate the existence of having an online journal.

For the Love Of Games, Pictures and Sites

I have been spending less and less time blogging. The breakdown of our desktop last week kinda triggered everything. Plus, my camera was with my Dad, so there's less inspiration. And it was not very easy to let go. To a point, that I had to ask for it- from him again. Hehehe! its a good thing that he is my Dad. Just imagine the disappointment that I'll be getting if I gave it to another person. Stupid! Well, my Dad told me that he knows, sooner or later I'll ask for it again.
Consider that settled. I'll take pictures again soon.

Now, I'm so occupied playing Burger Rush, Diner Dash, and Burger Shop. All these games are just so fun to play with. It will also make you drool. While my son's taking a nap, instead of blogging and making my usual drops ,I play.

These games are available from Yahoo Games. There's a trial for 1hr. and you can purchase the full version for $7. They look cute and easy. But I tell you, they are very challenging, especially when meeting the game's goals- objectives.

Another thing that kept me was my other site in Multiply. I just recently upgraded it. Since that's where I post my albums and personal stuff, and I survived a year with it. It was my gift for the site, turning it to Multiply Premium.

With that, I also made changes with the look and updated its content. That site of mine are exclusively for friends, online buddies and family only. I try to protect some images and stories. Multiply is a different world from Blogger. If you happen to have an account, let me know so can I visit you there too.

I'm Through With My License

Finally today, i was able to renew my driver's license. It took me 2 months just to be able to get the requirements together. Since I'm not employed, I have no TIN# at hand. I had to get one from BIR. That was one of the things that made my renewal complicated. Especially with the system this country is currently running.

With all the obstacles in the way, it still gave me that fufilling sigh in the end. My hard work payed off. I can now drive again. Go anywhere I want, I can borrow my Dad's car in case my husband is not available. I mean, we all know the convenience of having your own car than using public transportation.

When My Desktop Died On Me

Still recovering from it. I am very sad, that I lost most of my recent photos and files with it. I got too comfortable that nothing will happen and wasn't able to make back-up files. We tried adding a 1GB ram over the weekend. We thought that its the ram that was not working. So we tried to have it replaced. When we got home, my husband immediately fixed the CPU hoping it will work. All of a sudden it (the old desktop) bugged down. He found out that it was the Motherboard and Hard Disk that need replacements. Maybe that's why the Ram wasn't responding. It will take a very long time, before we can buy a new desktop.
I had no choice but to use my laptop for my internet access. And I am having a hard time working with Vista and Internet Explorer together. For the mean time, my husband might change my Laptop's OS to XP and hopefully install Firefox too.
I apologize if I'm not able to visit and make drops regularly. I don't really know what the problem is, I can't open more than 3 windows. I make drops through my Ec drop inbox, to make things easier. I hope my husband will be able to do something about it. My laptop works perfectly fine. Its one of the highest HP Pavilion ever released. I think its the system programs clashing.
EC drops and visits will continue Thursday! Have a nice day!

Meet The Husband

WARNING: KEEP CHILDREN AWAY
PICTURE NOT APPROPRIATE

My husband is a very private person. He asked me not to share too much of him on my blogs and sites. If you noticed, I seldom make posts with our family pictures. I think it's okay. In a way, there's this part of my life that remains a mystery.

One of my daily activities with my other half, is going online with him on YM. He's in the office and I'm at home.

We just talk, and of course we want to see each other. It's so fun chatting with him. He literally tells me stories about the latest activities at their workplace, on what's keeping him busy, I ask him if he had lunch already and where he ate.

Yesterday, he talked to me, made fun of this halloween mask.

I don't know if I'll get scared or if I'll feel so-yucky about it, or if I'll get angry. Anyway, it's one of those moments when he is in the mood for some teasing. It's a good thing he's not anywhere near... it will scare the hell out of me.

Of Plates, Pans And A Confusing Weekend

I don't like it! I really hate it, everytime I break something nice . This evening, I broke another Corelle. Yup! its breakable, and I think, this was my 5th breakage. And last Saturday, I burned a Tefal pan handle. And I can't afford to add another one on my list. These kitchen wares are so valuable here in the Philippines. You will find Tefal pans literally, "chained" on every rack, in every store, and I simply don't understand why. And of course the lovely and dashing looks of the light-weight Corelle plates, dishes and cups. They're expensive, but it will turn out to be very economical. It's up to the user to keep them safe and functional. I need to be extra careful, it will take a lot of bucks to replace each.

My mind was just everywhere this weekend. I really don't have anything in particular planned. I'm the kind of person who set things ahead, to avoid total chaos and confusion. I wanted to go shopping, but something inside was pulling away from everything. I ended up buying my boys new slippers and a cardboard playhouse for my son, Saturday.

Sunday, I still had a hard time figuring out what to do, I went to visit my hometown instead, and helped my dad do some gardening. It was still a productive weekend, to be fair. Not to forget that Friday, we had the car checked until early Saturday.

Or I was thinking, maybe I'm just pressured to finish some tasks before the Holy Week begins. (and that's in 2 weeks) Like getting my Driver's License (old story), enrolling my son for summer school and to be able to register the car on time. Well, these are pretty good reasons. I just pray, that after everything is all settled and done, I could take a vacation with my family somewhere, or some me-time to destress.
