Sweetest 16th

My sister celebrated her Sweet 16 birthday yesterday. She personally asked me to buy her a Red Ribbon cake. This was the moment I have been waiting for. For days, after The Chocolate Heaven launching and the announcement of the Chocolate Heaven contest, I have been thinking of ways to create a one of a kind entry.
Sweet @ 16, surrounded with friends and having a fun time with the Chocolatiest cake that made them feel like they're in Heaven... The new Red Ribbon Chocolate Heaven cake.
It made them treasure the bond that unites them. It made them happier in each other's company and it developed the person in them by projecting positivity, joy, fun and excitement. It made me miss my high school days. Watching them made me treasure the moment itself and the moment that was during my time. It made me miss my own friends and our activities together. I was just literally holding the camera looking at them in awe and wonder.
For me, to be able to nail a good photo, everything must come out naturally. Candid. I can go' til forever waiting for the perfect time just to capture that certain image on my mind.

Regardless of what camera I have, regardless of the picture quality as long as the moment is captured, I'm happy.

Chocolate Heaven From Red Ribbon

Red Ribbon is asking, is your chocolate cake this chocolate- full? Well, I think this is the mother of all Chocolate Cakes, the #1 in the heart of every chocolate lover.
Red Ribbon's Chocolate Heaven
Red Ribbon's Chocolate Heaven
Layered with the most chocolatey brownie I have ever tasted, and the finest chocolate mousse, covered with luscious, rich chocolate, then topped with chocolate curls that made it more inviting. Being a chocolate lover, the Chocolate Heaven I took home last night didn't even make it for another day. Not too sweet, very light but very rich.
Best taken with any of Red Ribbon's Hot Brews.
Chocolate Heaven comes in 2 sizes. Junior at Php 335 and Regular at Php 560. It is going to be available in your favorite Red Ribbon store shelf by February 9, 2010.

I remember my dad giving something similar to my mom last year, but it's just a cake in a heart shape. No Kisses or other designs. This Valentine Treat from Red Ribbon tops every Valentine gift idea. I can't wait for Feb. 14... I intend to have our own as my husband and I celebrate our 6th Valentines Day being married.

Cake and Dark Chocolate Lovers

May I take this chance to thank the whole Red Ribbon Management for the rare experience they shared with me this year. For the gift coupon, for the opportunities given in order to share my Red Ribbon moments with my family. It was truly an honor. 2009 was a great year for me. It was filled with good opportunities for SHARING and SERVING other people. And like my usual story, I shared my Chocolate Walnut Fudge Cake with the whole family.
My parents, my siblings and of course, my very own family of 3. I had to wait for December 13 so that I can claim it straight from my hometown, be with my family and have a perfect cake moment again with them. I have to say, that the Chocolate Walnut Fudge Cake with Hershey's Dark is our cake for this season. It's simple, if you're a cake and chocolate lover, this is the ultimate dessert for you. If there's a chocolate bar to look for in every ice box we have in our homes... all you will ever find are bars of Hershey's Dark Chocolate, and I'm talking about the biggest bars you will see in every supermarket shelf. My dad and I would go all the way to a PX shop in Makati just to buy in bulks. So desirable that my Dad drove me everywhere, in every Red Ribbon branch around our area just to check which one has a stock left. Lucky enough, we were able to find a branch who served us with the last cake they have.
The moment I took the cake out from the box, 2 members of our family which we consider the "kings of cake and chocolate" took the center spot.
That would be my brother Nano and my son Franky
This 2 boys... they never choose the time, the place and the occasion on when to have a piece of their favorites.
They were very excited to take a bite of this mouthwatering delight. You might notice that I don't post pictures of myself with any of the cakes I shared with my family. I'm happier seeing them and capturing memorable shots of my family satisfied and happy. That makes me feel complete.

As you can see, the cake is compose of dark chocolate rolls on the sides. For the kids, I bet they'll feel that this cake popped- out from their dreams overnight. I share that same feeling. Imagine, a cake from the finest ingredients covered and coated with the best dark chocolate ever created, Yummy!

My Moment, My Winning Entry

Blogging for almost 2 1/2 years, I think that I am already at my peak.

Let me share the dictionary meaning of PEAK:The point of greatest development, value, or intensity: a novel written at the peak of the writer's career. Though I am not a certified author or writer, a recent article of mine just won.

My Winning Entry

This being my first, was just overwhelming. I just came home from a 2 -day vacation with my family. You know, taking a break and detaching ourselves from our city life. This good news welcomed me home. Perfect!

If you're somebody close to me, and practically knows me... you would not even think that I will be able to create something worth as a winning piece. This is where my love for blogging comes in. The passion and inspiration. My blogging life is inspired by my family. Both with my husband and son, my parents, siblings, nieces and nephews and my in-laws. My life goes around these people. Making the Red Ribbon entry was a new opportunity for me to share more of our bits and pieces together as family. I took the contest as an opener to bring my love for sharing a step higher from the usual.

Thank you very much Red Ribbon! It was a very fulfilling experience.

Pixel Bug Weekend--- We're Back On Track

Photobucket

Weekend was all about our 'ol Civic. We're finally back on track with everything working perfectly fine. One thing lacking though... we didn't have music. My husband and I talked on getting a new car stereo (since the old one got busted from the flood), and if we're going to purchase a new one, might as well get the latest where we can just plug our USB for our MP3s.
tada! a New Car Stereo!

It was great listening to our favorite tunes as we drove to my hometown, where we enjoyed lunch with our parents. Talked on some interesting plans for the future. More stories about the recent flood. It was our typical relaxing Sunday. Nothing could be better than having some sunshine, good food, good conversations and good company.

Red Ribbon White Forest to end an inspiring weekend...

Later in the afternoon, we drove our mom to a nearby mall. Enjoyed another bonding time with her and my sister. We ate merienda in Red Ribbon. Even without the White Forest my dear friends, we are Red Ribbon lovers.
My Slice of Heaven
Finally we're able to reserve a White Forest Cake. That's right, "reserved". For the past few days, we had a hard time looking for a White Forest cake. In Cubao, there's only one Red Ribbon and this cake is also hot in the market.

Have a lovely week everyone!

Red Ribbon White Forest Cake Brings Families Closer

From the moment I received my first White Forest Cake, I shared it with my Mom. She passed this good news to my aunt and other relatives. As predicted, being such cake lovers, they enjoyed the new Red Ribbon White Forest Cake.

Sharing makes room for bonding, more laughs, and good conversations. We spend our Sundays together as a clan. My siblings and I would always meet with our families at our parent's place. We make it a point that we see each other at least once a week. This way, we keep our relationship as family close and sparkling. Most of the time, we have lunch or dinner then we buy cake or some sweets for dessert. The White Forest Cake changed how cakes are looked at in our family. Especially for our Dad. Our Father is not a cake lover. He'd buy cake for special occasions only. Like birthdays and anniversaries. This cake sensation changed his thoughts on liking cakes. He is now the #1 fan of Red Ribbon. He got exposed to something and realized, that a simple cake can make our everyday special even without an occasion to celebrate. Family bondings happy conversations, a relaxing day, a perfect snack, and simply feeling complete... are enough reasons that cakes are for everybody, anytime of the day.

It made us happier

He even bought a crystal cake plate to make the family's every cake experience sweeter, more inviting and tempting. Our Sunday get together is going to be more fun and colorful, for Red Ribbon's White Forest cake will now and always be part of it. We officially agreed that it's the only cake that everybody loves. The kids said its yummy and they're very much attracted with the long-stemmed cherries on top, they could just grab it easily. The young and old at heart are always excited to have some and more of it. All these for just one cake. Red Ribbon's White Forest Cake.

The flavor of this cake is just amazing. Luscious cherry bits in between layers of white chiffon cake, topped with rich white chocolates and long- stemmed maraschino cherries. Nobody can't resist to have a slice. So thank you Red Ribbon! Thank you for bringing us The White Forest Cake.

By the way, its selling like hot cakes everywhere.

Let There Be White

It has been a regular for the family to buy Red Ribbon cakes. The thing I love about their cakes are the distinct flavors they give.
Red Ribbon Has Always Been Part of Our Family...
Something WHITE was officially launched today. I am very proud to become part of this event. White chocolate, white chiffon, and luscious long- stemmed maraschino cherries. Combined that it will surely give delight on your first bite.

Introducing, Red Ribbon's New White Forest Cake!!!
Regular (P560), Junior (P335)
Visit any Red Ribbon Branch or call 8-77-77 and have it delivered!

This new yummy goodness was greatly influenced by Red Ribbon's Black Forest cake. Black Forest has been one of Red Ribbon's signature cake. It captures our hearts all the time. With this, Red Ribbon launched the very first White Forest cake in the Philippines.
It is made with creamy white chocolate and light, moist chiffon cake layered with real cherry bits and a fusion of white chocolate flakes.
I love it! The chiffon was very soft, not too sweet that you will appreciate the twist of the cherry filling will give. The long- stemmed Maraschino cherries on top made it more inviting and tempting. I just can't wait to have more of this new sensation.

Aside from this White mouth watering news, Red Ribbon has a new set of pastries and dishes to enjoy.
My son fell in love with their Ube Mamon first time he tried it.
Spaghetti with Meatballs
This is the best Spaghetti with Meatballs I have ever tasted. It's so gourmet. The meatballs were made out of 100% beef. Everything looks fresh and natural with this dish.
For a hearty morning, this is perfect. Grilled Ensaimada, scrambled eggs, served with the new Farmer's Ham made of tender lean meat with maple syrup.
Garlic and Chicken Mushroom
My favorite. There's just something about the flavor that I can't explain and distinguish. So good, it makes me want to eat some more.

Thank God for Red Ribbon! It's the ideal dining place for the family. Not to forget, the love and treasure they give for every occasion we celebrate, for every moment we spend with our families.

post updated: with my family's red ribbon cake collection photos.
