Parental Achievement---Franky's Graduation Day

Hey guys! Dolf and I are super duper proud parents! Being a parent really brings the real meaning of wonder and joy in life.
This day brought another remarkable experience for us.
It is a role that makes you both humble and proud. From Franky and me, we give Papa all the warm hugs and kisses, he's been working so hard to be able to provide what's best for the family.

There's more to come, more to come, this is just the beginning...

Mom's Fun Day!

I thought that it was just an ordinary school activity for Franky. I over slept, woke up late and I forgot to bring my camera. But lucky enough to find a perfect parking spot! :D

Mom's Fun Day is the school's way of paying tribute to all moms who poured so much time in support for their children in school.
The endless home notes, creative projects and joining other fun activities that binds the family at home and in school. The activity was exclusive for moms and the kids. Not a sight of a single dad around. And would you believe, none carried a camera too. We were all just having fun playing games, popping balloons, ate our snacks together. Franky and me enjoyed watching some intermission numbers from fellow moms and their kids. They danced and sang a song together.
We ended the activity as our children sang a song for us while they also handed out the Paper Roses they made. I was really touched. Again for a first time school mom, it made me teary-eyed. Maybe, crying will always be part of it. For every sweet gesture and for every achievement made by my little boy. Tears of Joy that is...

Motherhood Teaches You To Be Creative

Early this week, I was asked by my son's teacher to prepare a box which he can wear and be covered with art paper. As explained, this is going to be for their monthly interaction activity. Every end of the month, the school organizes activities for the kids. They play, have fun and learn all at the same time. Its like giving the kids a break from the usual school work.

This month's theme was Robots' Antics & Frolics.

As I was buying the materials for the box, since its a robot theme, I decided to cover it as Bumble Bee (which is yellow and black). Then we were instructed to use recycable materials for the face of the robot.

I gathered perfume boxes, caps from drinking bottles, playdough caps. From the beginning my son started attending school, this mind of mine has been working pretty hard, creating projects for school. I like it everytime the school instructs us to use old materials. They give big value, not only for the parents' efforts, but also on the financial aspect. The children learn more than the lesson itself. But their exposed to the whole concept behind every activity. And not to forget, the mom learns to be more creative and resourceful too.

A Whole New Level

Tomorrow, my son, my only child, will officially start his first day in school. We got pretty late enrolling him for summer school. He got sick for the past month and the holidays and vacation days became hindrance too. I was finally able to enroll him late this afternoon. Hopefully, we will be able to enroll him for this school year by the end of the month also.
I am very excited! The school is airconditioned and safe. It is located near our condo. The teachers are very nice.
I even bought a new sling bag for myself to be able to move freely, to and from the school.
I am confident that my son will not have a hard time mingling with other kids. Suddenly, something flashed in front of me. It's time to aim higher. It's a whole new level. A new beginning. A different path in life. A very important priority. Education.
My husband and I have high hopes when it comes to our child's education. And we're both conditioned to work for it. Not to forget, we're also as flexible to whatever we can give.
I know that we will eventually come to this point in our life. And how time flies so fast. For a minute, my arms were wrapped around my baby boy. Now, its longing for him, running after him.
I will take this as a good opportunity for me too. It is a chance to move further. To grow and learn as part of Motherhood and as a Parent.
