Circle Of Fun

Last Saturday the family went out to have lunch with a friend and our Ninang whom we also consider as family. She was my best buddy in college and she was also my maid of honor. We had lunch at Serye Quezon City Circle. It was a peaceful Saturday. People were out jogging, playing ball, strolling and enjoying a relaxing day. After parting ways with our friend, we took Franky's bike out of the car, so he can bike around. We planned ahead, QC Circle is a nice place to go biking without any hassles.
My boys--- my husband helping Franky off the sidewalk and on to the main road for bicycles. We walked around and discovered Circle of Fun. Right now, I am telling you guys that Quezon City Circle is indeed a Fun Circle. It is the only park I've seen that is safe, clean, covered with trees, with big grounds covered with grass, that also has a playground, a bicycle area, food area, an amusement park and have clean bathrooms.

Imagine Circle of Fun as the mini Star City or Enchanted Kingdom. Most of the rides are for kids. The fun part, the adults can ride it too.
I was totally into Waterball.

I rode Leap Frog with Franky.

Entrance Fee: Php20
Rides costs Php30-50 per head
It was an awesome day! We loved it! There were no boundaries, we rode almost everything with Franky. Something we can't do in the usual, big amusement parks.

Pixel Bug Weekend--- Videoke with Family and Friends

Busy weekend? Yup! it was a busy- fun weekend indeed! We were reunited with a family from America. My husband's cousin came home for a short vacation here in the Philippines. Last time they saw each other? was back in 2001. By the time my husband got home from America, it was Bryan's turn to leave. I have known Bryan and Dolf as close as peanut butter and jelly. If there's me and Dolf, definitely, there was Bryan and Dolf first.
Things are different now... both have matured into a family-loving and happy father. It was really exciting to watch and get entertained by the boys as they catch up with the past and the present.

Friday night, my husband went on leave to meet up with Bryan and his family. Franky and I tagged along. I was very happy to finally have met his wife and son too. Our sons got along well. As if they've met before.
They're like two souls from the past reunited. Well, it runs in the blood. Their dads has a very colorful relationship. It would be lovely to see them grow together too. We met at Greenbelt 5.
Walked all the way to Greenbelt 3 had dinner at Fish & Co. with some more friends. After dinner, it was Red Box time!
One thing that will complete any Philippine visit is to experience videoke, Filipino style. Franky stayed up late with us. I mean, its rare that he joins us in our night outs. Plus, Franky likes videoke. We had Nachos, Gambas, 2 rounds of beer, Buffalo Wings and Mozzarella Cheese Sticks.

This was just the first half of our weekend. Sunday, my husband and I invited them over our place. Spent the whole day again together.

Pixel Bug Weekend #1 We Celebrated The Whole Day

If there's something to look forward to every Monday, that is a Pixel Bug Weekend entry. As Mommy Salen launched her new meme for her new blog and together in celebration of her birthday, let us join her journey in sharing our weekend photos.

Our weekend was all about my son's birthday. We started Saturday, bought groceries for our small celebration and gifts. I wasn't really going for a party---PARTY! Early last week, as I was sending our invites to some friends and relatives, we found out that most are not available. We proceeded with the plan, but with less food and party goodies.

Spongebob it is for Franky's birthday this year.

After lunch, we rested, spent time with the magic sing, and headed to the Mall of Asia for the Manila International Bookfair. We have been attending this event since it started. My Dad is a member. By the way, its best to go on the last day, because sellers sometimes gives bigger discounts. I was able to buy a Michael Jackson Memorabilia for Php500, hardbound and its a 1 1/2 thick reading.(post to follow)
Proud as the affair celebrated its 30th year of sharing fun readings (old, hard -to -find and new), informative and various types for all ages.

Every year the Manila International Bookfair will always be an exciting stop for the family. My mom feasted on various cookbooks and home and living books. Then the whole family had dinner at David's Tea House---Franky's birthday celebration still.

and more!
It was a good celebration! Like really good...
To end the night, took some shots at the rooftop with my sister.

This year's celebration was filled with fun memories.
