Aniao Islets

24 March 2014

First, let me enumerate the places we went to during our 2011 visit in Baler, Aurora.

Ermita Hill
Ditumabo Falls
Lounging in Sabang Beach
Surfing in Sabang Beach

This is also to take note that we left Baler a month ago--- still with lots of places unexplored. We will make sure to return and continue to discover more of this fascinating land.

Our 4-day stay was not enough to go to all famous tourist and untouched spots in Baler. With our travel to Baler this year, aside from Costa Pacifica, our host opted to take us to new 2 beach locations near town. Along the way, we made a quick stop to see the Aniao Islets, Barangay Zabali, Baler.
These bullet- like islets will stun you with it's majestic formation.
The beauty of Baler is everywhere. One are the Aniao Islets. It is seen from road.
Along the way to Dicasalarin Cove, we were be able to take a view of the islets. By private transport, you can park your car at the side. With great caution, cross the 2 lane- road and enjoy the fresh breeze of the ocean as you stare at the amazing islets.

Before I share more from our Baler Trip, let me officially welcome SUMMER!
School's over, the warm breeze is here, Bougainvillea's blooming, kids are out playing, sun's out, surf's up!
It's Summer! and I'm loving it!

To Baler, Aurora

20 March 2014

Going back to Baler was a plan that didn't push through in the past 2 years. It's a trip we all looked forward to. As we all know, our family got busy with a new baby on board, same with some friends of ours. That's why if you'll notice, with our recent trip, there were more kiddos around. Within those 2 years of waiting to make a trip back to Baler possible, our adventure for 2014 resulted with a new set of unforgettable memories as if we've never been to Baler before.

For starters, let me share about our road trip. Also, to give information for those who are planning to visit Baler, Aurora this summer.

Compared to our travel to Baler, Aurora in 2011, our trip this year was shorter and more relaxing. For a smooth road trip to Aurora Province without lengthy stopovers and slow traffic, it will only take 5-6 hours at most via Pantabangan.

Road to Baler, Aurora via private transport:

Nlex--- Sctex--- La Paz, Nueva Ecija--- Zaragoza, Nueva Ecija--- Aliaga, Nueva Ecija--- Talavera-Llanera--- Rizal (Pinagpanaan-Rizal/PantabanganRoad)--- Pantabangan Road--- Maria Aurora--- San Luis, Aurora--- Baler Aurora.
We entered NLEX around 7am. We took a short break at the first gasoline station in NLEX to get our tank full and the tires checked, spent 15- 20 minutes.
Our next stop was already in a Total gasoline station in La Paz, Nueva Ecija. We arrived around 9-9:30am. We stayed to have some refreshments for about 30 minutes. From there, we didn't have anymore stopovers or any bathroom breaks, we went straight all the way to Baler.
Along the way from SCTEX, you will encounter a lot of road signs. I greatly advice to take note of  each signage or any landmark as you enter one town to another for this is also going to be the road back to Manila.

Hello Baler! It's nice to be back!

We safely reached our destination exactly around 2pm. Our recent visit to Baler, Aurora this year opened our doors to summer of 2014. The weather was perfect, it was sunny but since we're still in the month of February with the Amihan still around, it was also pretty cool. It was awesome!

My Love for Longchamp Le Pliage

06 March 2014

Before, I thought it was unnecessary to share such things online. But when my husband surprised me with another Longchamp Le Pliage for Valentines Day, I knew that there will come a time that I should share my love for this tote bag.
It all started 4- 3 years ago. Longchamp's Le Pliage was a craze then. Everyone has it! To a point that you wouldn't even recognize which are the authentic and fake ones. Well, it's a "shopping bag" and let's face it, it's more affordable compared to the leather bags of Longchamp.

Longchamp Le Pliage may look plain and ordinary, but through the years since this bag got famous, I was able to put it to good use. Trending or not, I already found it a need to have one. We all have our reasons, for  mothers like me who carries almost everything, "shopping bags", totes in large sizes are considered as essential items.

Every time I go to the Rustan's Department store, I browse at some home decorations, clothes, shoes and bags.  And so, I looked around and saw a corner where the Longchamp Le Pliages were displayed. Quite pricey for a plain tote bag I must say... So I thought, maybe when I have the extra money, I might just buy one someday.

My husband then surprised me with my first- ever Longchamp Le Pliage. The color of my first Longchamp Le Pliage was paper. It's like off- white that's a bit yellowish.   I use this bag for certain events only. Like for formal occasions, when I have the kids with me and I need to bring a big bag, it's perfect. It's neutral shade and the gold hardware combined makes it elegant.
Then, the moment came when I can finally afford to buy my second Longchamp Le Pliage. It was a battle between black and navy blue. Thought I needed an "all-around" Le Pliage. Of course,  things do get pretty worn out, especially if often used. My third Le Pliage came just in time and it's duck blue. Aside from the Rustan's Department Store, you can also get your Longchamp Le Pliage from reliable online sellers.
I love Longchamp Le Pliage because it's sturdy.

I love Longchamp Le Pliage because its long handles make it so easy to tote around even if the baggage is heavy.

I love Longchamp Le Pliage because it's waterproof. Just recently, my niece accidentally poured iced tea over my navy blue bag.

I love Longchamp Le Pliage because it's easy to maintain/ clean. With the iced tea incident, I just wiped it with wet cloth.

I love Longchamp Le Pliage because of it's classic look. It's one of the few plain bags that has  a sophisticated- refined style. I love it more than those with colorful prints.

Since I got my first Longchamp Le Pliage, every year, I look forward on getting one. My husband even asked me if I plan to collect.  Well not really, I just have my eyes fixed on some more colors I want to have.
Hopefully soon, (still looking at possible ways for shipping), I can also customize my own Longchamp Le Pliage..
