Mommy Moments: Mother's Day Will Always Be About Our Mom

mommy moments
I never count my blessings. Because I believe that  we're all blessed in His own little way.
A special message for my Mom... A post Mother's Day entry.

This year's Mother's Day celebration was different. For as long as she's still around, Mother's Day will always be about our Mom.

Tears of Joy, she was literally crying while smiling and laughing

This time, I gave the spotlight to her 100%. For molding the person I am today, for the continuous guidance she is giving me as a parent, for the times she's not only a mom but also a friend. For the over flowing love she's  giving our family.
I am grateful for who I am today. For every step I take deeper in the journey of Motherhood, I feel that I have been gifted with everything already. One little heart beat from my little boy, changed my life, changed me as a person. Mother's day will never be the same until I officially became a MOM myself. Then I realize how important this day was not only for us moms but also to our families. It proves that no material thing can take over the joy and happiness a simple hug and kiss can bring.

Since our dad is on a business trip, we bought cake for our mom from Red Ribbon on his behalf. And from us her kids... we gave packs of her favorite chocolate, Baby Ruth bite size. We had dinner at a nearby Pizza Hut Restaurant: 2 kinds of pasta, 2 rounds of pizza, bottomless drinks, 2 kinds of salad. Later, Dolf and I bought Starbucks to go for everyone. I even saw some friends of mine, which was great. It's been a long time. When we got home we had dessert and a warm conversation.

Simple, yet something extraordinary to remember. We didn't give something grand, but we poured words telling her how grateful we are to have a mom like her who never left our side.

The following day, my husband and Franky took me out for dinner. Dolf asked me to choose any restaurant I like. I was in the mood for Chinese so I chose Hap Chan. And since it was a surprise, I didn't bring my camera. I guess it pays not to have pictures all the time, I get to keep a certain part of my life private and as  a token of love always to remember.
Thank you Dolf for making Mother's Day 2010 memorable. You love and cherish my mom always, I am happy to have you, I am happy that you love my family as much as you love me...
 I FEEL SO INSPIRED!!!
You make me smile
Everybody needs and little sunshine and when i do your always there with my surprise
Its good to know that I'm alive
You make me sing
Everybody's looking for an answer with a metaphysical ring, can you take me out there?
It's good to know that I'm alive

Caught up in the middle of a lovely, lovely day
And did you ever get the blues and think they'd never go away
And then your life is big fat dude who just stopped by to say,
There's a lesson to be learned and everybody's gotta pay

It's really a blessing to be a mother, and we only realize the sacrifices our moms made for us when we become mothers ourselves. Belated Happy Mother's Day, Enchie!
