It's Been 5 Years...

Marriage was one of my fulfilling dreams. I never thought that I will still be able to meet someone compatible. My past relationships was a whirlwind. It was just everywhere.
Because of that, by the age of 20, I was conditioning myself not to hurry or to accept whatever fate may bring. And I did. I really don't want to put a bracket on what age should I get married. In life, its either you become a wife with a career, a single person with a career, a mother and wife with a career and a housewife. Beyond these, I guess you have different plan for yourself.
I enjoyed my time and finally met the right person. Its best to say, My Ideal Man. He is the key to where and who I am now. I thank God for this blessing. Right there and then, I knew about my life's purpose.
And today, marked our 5th as partners in life. The funny part, we almost forgot about it. No plans brewed. I would usually be planning ahead.
Things are not as always perfect. I had to give way, because my husband needs to work the whole week with the big bosses.
Reality knocked: It is our bread and butter. I truly understand his absence on this special day. I gave him full support as his partner for 5 years. I don't wanna get angry or feel disappointed about something that is adjustable. Like celebrations.
Early this year, I posted about a goal: Learning to detach. Staying away from the usual. I/ We have a simpler life now.
We still have lessons to learn and things to discover. 5 years is too short to tell that were good at it (marriage). It is a journey full of surprises, laughter, love and hardships.

Our 5th year is in thanksgiving for a new beginning. Another chance for good living. A new goal of providing education, for the fulfilling purpose (Franky) marriage can only bring. It is his time now...

Happy Anniversary Enchie!!!

Indeed, your marriage is still so new. Even the longer lasting ones break up or crumble when one or both is/are not willing to compromise. I admire you for understanding him.

But remember, Frank is a gift to both of you. Your no.1 priority still is each other. :)

All the best! :)

Happy Anniversay Enchie!!!wow! 5 years is great but as you said, you cannot really rely on numbers to say you are already good at it. In marriage,it takes a lifetime of learning, even the adjustment is the same. Some people usually asks us, "naka adjust ka na ba", but personally, I think adjustment is also a day to day basis. It's amazing that sometimes we said that we already knew our partner inside out but then again, each day,we discover something new.Happy Anniversary!!!

Congratulations on another milestone in your marriage. I wish you more blissful and fruitful life together. Even if you didn't do anything special on that 'day' it doesn't really matter, what matters is the quality time that you spent (and will be spending) together on the other days of the year.
