Mommy Moments---Special Day!

I chose my son's baptism. We had a simple celebration. Something that we can only afford.
That time, we were just starting. The baptism went pretty well. It doesn't really matter how you celebrate it. As long as the parents, the godparents and our loved ones are all present on this special part of our journey as we enter the Christian world.

We had the reception in our own home. We were blessed with an apartment that has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a garage and a big kitchen. Plus the fact that we didn't have much furnitures, it made the whole place function like a reception area. Some even thought we rented it just for the occasion.
We had yellow and blue as color motif, had cute key chains as giveaways and balloons.

My Favorite Christening Photo of My Son, originally uploaded by Momachie.
This is my favorite photo of my son. His arms and feet were everywhere. He was feeling uncomfortable with his attire. Even his footsies, we had to take it off. He looked pretty mad in this photo. All that was left is the small white shorts that came with the Barong -like top, and his usual baby shirt.

My mom and dad helped with the cooking. My in-laws accompanied us at the church ceremony, they also brought food and gifts. It was a happy celebration, everyone was present from both sides of the family. From lunch, the reception went on until 7pm.

Franky was the 3rd apo (grandchild), we're all very excited for the newest member. Everybody didn't want to leave early, we all wanted to bond.

You're right Enchie, it doesn't matter how you celebrate it. What's important is that you're all together on that special occasion.

Your son is such a well-loved "apo." And it's nice to hear that both sides contributed to making this occasion a success. Mine is up, too, mommy.

Agree with you. It doesn't matter how you celebrate it, the most important thing is that your baby had a blessing from the LORD. I wasn't able to join... Busy kasi. Thanks for always dropping by.

Hi ate Enchie. It's been awhile =) Na-miss ko tuloy ang ganyang handaan, usually dad ko and mga aunts ko prepare ng foods.

I love how you prepared the settings, parang sa function hall ang dating. Nice. Your baby boy is real cutie, since baby =) Have a nice weekend.
